Why we love it

This blend showcases Sangiovese with its lesser-known companion Foglia Tonda. The wine ferments in cement with native yeasts that naturally live on the grapes, and the winemaker works entirely by hand—including manual punch-downs to extract maximum flavor and color. It's Italian winemaking that respects tradition but isn't stuck in the past.

On the nose

First hit is bright red cherries, wild strawberries, and juicy plums, but give it a minute and you'll start picking up forest floor, autumn leaves, and darker blackberry notes. Stick with it even longer and there's dried herbs, violet flowers, black tea, and this subtle earthy truffle thing happening. It's like a wine that keeps revealing new layers the longer you spend with it.

On the palate

Rich and expressive, with that beautiful unfiltered quality that gives it texture and depth. After six months of bottle aging, everything has come together perfectly—fruit, acidity, and just the right amount of structure.
